What are Social Bookmarks

What are Social Bookmarks
Using social bookmark services is intuitive as this screenshot from furl.net demonstrates.

Social bookmarks enable you to store, sort, search and share your favorite Web pages. Through social bookmarks you can create a list of your favorite Web pages and access that list from any computer or share it with your friends.

Where can I Sign-up for Social Bookmarks

There are many social bookmarking services available free online. All you have to do is set up an account and follow the service's instructions. To find the social bookmarking service you like best, sign up for a few, test them out and then stick with your favorite.

Here are some social bookmark sites to try:

    Del.icio.us, www.del.icio.us
    Furl, www.furl.net
    Digg, www.digg.com
    StumbleUpon, www.stumbleupon.com

How do I Social Bookmark Ask the Decorator
The quickest and easiest way to add bookmarks to your social bookmark network is to create a link for your internet browser. As the screenshot from del.icio.us shows, it's very easy.

Most social bookmarking sites will walk you through how to add bookmarks. Most let you either add bookmarks manually or by using a link in your internet browser's toolbar. Once you have the browser link installed, all you'll have to do is click it and whatever Web page you are on is automatically added to your social bookmarks. But from this page, the easiest way for you to add Ask the Decorator to your social bookmarks is to use the drop-down menu below. Just  select which social bookmark network you'd like to use.

Love my videos but don't have the time to visit Ask the Decorator every day? I understand. That's why I offer e-mail alerts.

By signing up for the e-mail alerts, you'll receive an e-mail each time two new videos are published on Ask the Decorator. The e-mail will have the headline for each video along with a short summary.

If you're interested in the video, click on the headline and you'll be taken straight to that video. If none of the videos interest you, trash the e-mail and move on with your day without wasting the time of visiting my Web site. Brilliant, I know. Hey, I'll do anything to make your life easier. Just ask, or in this case, sign up.

Hey, are you sniffing around in our private corporate documents? Go ahead. I won’t tell. Besides I’ve got nothing to hide. In fact, I like it when you look around. It gives me the chance to brag a little. Plus, you get to know me, which is always a good thing. Okay, I’m hoping it's a good thing. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
