Philosophy

Just like a human being, a company must have a philosophy to guide its decisions. But our philosophy isn't just a vague idea. It's so important to us that we've written it down so that everyone knows where we stand and what we believe.

Our job is to serve our readers. Ask the Decorator was created to educate and inspire our readers. No matter where we travel or what we do, you, our reader, will always be our number one priority.

Honesty creates good relationships and good information. To establish credibility, you must be honest - whether building a relationship or providing content. Here at Ask the Decorator, we want to do both, which is why we do not allow companies to pay to be placed in our videos or articles.

A beautiful, comfortable home sets the foundation for a happy life. A breathtaking room is more than just pleasing to the eye. It touches our emotions and improves our wellbeing. It has the power to uplift moods, spark inspiration, foster closeness, soothe pain and change our very perspectives on the world. And while some say laughter is the best medicine, we like to think decorating is a close second. A beautiful, inviting home is sure to win many smiles and hear the echo of joyful laughter.

Function is better. You shouldn't have to sacrifice style for function. But let's face it, beauty doesn't mean it will work. So when we look for the best, function comes first. After all, true satisfaction springs from those objects and designs that make your life easier. And we're all about finding that.

Nothing is more valuable than information. You make the best decisions when you're informed, whether it's about tile, tissues or income taxes. And while no one needs to know everything, it's good to know the basics.

If you care about others, you will be rewarded. Whether it's an earth-friendly program or a high quality product, if it helps others live a better life, then we will feature it.

Love my videos but don't have the time to visit Ask the Decorator every day? I understand. That's why I offer e-mail alerts.

By signing up for the e-mail alerts, you'll receive an e-mail each time two new videos are published on Ask the Decorator. The e-mail will have the headline for each video along with a short summary.

If you're interested in the video, click on the headline and you'll be taken straight to that video. If none of the videos interest you, trash the e-mail and move on with your day without wasting the time of visiting my Web site. Brilliant, I know. Hey, I'll do anything to make your life easier. Just ask, or in this case, sign up.

Hey, are you sniffing around in our private corporate documents? Go ahead. I won’t tell. Besides I’ve got nothing to hide. In fact, I like it when you look around. It gives me the chance to brag a little. Plus, you get to know me, which is always a good thing. Okay, I’m hoping it's a good thing. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
