  1. Sometimes picking just one picture of the beach isn't enough to get a good color scheme for your beach theme bathroom. In that case, look for three pictures that are similar in colors and feel. Those three pictures should give you enough variety in both colors and textures.  
  2. When incorporating materials from the beach into your beach theme bathroom, they don't have to be in the same form as you would actually find at the beach. It's more about the texture. For example, instead of using actual beach rocks in your beach theme bathroom, opt for pebble floor stones in your shower or a soap dish or garbage can made of stone.
  3. If you plan on painting your walls, you might want to choose the color after finding the accessories. It is much harder to find the perfect accessories and towels to complement your wall color than it is to find a paint color that will go with the accessories you've found and love.
  4. Don't be afraid to put a few actual elements from the beach into your beach theme bathroom. Just do so in moderation. An anchor hanging on the wall or large shell as a soap dish can be a nice touch.
